1990: On ANOTHER WORLD, Jake (Tom Eplin) raped Marley (Anne Heche, b. May 25, 1969) after she gave his ring back. Later, Jake was shown lying on the ground dripping in blood.
Reviews: They could have pitched this as a reunion of the on-and-off-screen paramours of the late TV show “Men in Trees” — Anne Heche and James Tupper. There is nothing in “Nothing” for either of the actors except to figure out which one will write the apology notes to fans. ” Heche is the one who seems largely lost to us.
To see what we’re missing, go back to 1997 and her turn in the black comedy “Wag the Dog” with Al Pacino and Dustin Hoffman, or opposite Harrison Ford in 1998 “Six Days Seven Nights.” The actress has a distinctive blend of beauty, intelligence and vulnerability. And, when it’s called for, great comic timing, found in the easy humor that she and Tupper brought to “Men in Trees,” a quirky romantic comedy series on ABC a few years ago.
Nothing Left to Fear, Paranormal urban legend set in a small, intensely haunted town, Ann Heche plays Wendy, the mother, whose daughter has been marked for a depraved ritual.

[June 14]The story of Save Me is incredibly depressing, but not unprecedented. The Anne Heche comedy was in the works since 2010 as a potential property of Showtime. Both the show and executive Bob Greenblatt moved to NBC when Greenblatt became NBC’s entertainment chairman. In 2012, it was the second new show greenlit after Go On. Then it was announced that it wouldn’t be on the fall schedule, but it would show up midseason. Then they hired former Friends producer Alexa Junge to executive producer and run the show. Then they re-shot the pilot. Then Alexa Junge left the show. Then Darlene Hunt from The Big C took her place. Then NBC decided to wait until just after May sweeps was over to start airing the show. Then they decided to run seven episodes, even though they ordered thirteen.
Last night was the fourth Thursday. There has not been an official announcement as to whether or not the show will return, but NBC.com’s description doesn’t leave much hope:
‘Series finale! A visit from the Almighty shows Beth she can make a difference. Betty White guest stars!’

as a reformed libertine…
The pilot doesn’t make full use of Ms. Heche’s acting and comedic talents, and the bland family around her (Michael Landes is her straying husband, Madison Davenport her bratty teenager) doesn’t give her much to work with. All of these problems could ease with time, but time is something not many series are given these days.

After The Girl, and a year Grace of Monaco, Alfred Hitchcock is the subject Sacha Gervasi‘s film focusing on the production of Psycho, a truly warts-and-all experience.
Sources tell Variety that “Making of Psycho” has drawn comparisons to “My Week With Marilyn,” and that the role of Janet Leigh could lead to the same awards consideration for Johansson that the Marilyn Monroe role did for Michelle Williams.
