DOHA: Meg Ryan joined the 4th Ajyal Youth Film Festival, where she addressed the Ajyal Jurors, speaking about her first feature-length directorial debut “Ithaca.” As part of her visit, she was also presented with the Ajyal Honorary Award, to celebrate her inspirational career. “Ithaca”, is an adaptation of William Saroyan’s novel “The Human Comedy”, in which a teenage boy takes on a part-time job as a telegram delivery boy in a fictional Us town during World War II, with deeply moving results. Ryan takes a pivotal role in the film and recruits her regular co-star Tom Hanks in a cameo, while Sam Shepard stars as a crotchety telegraph operator nearing retirement.

Dennis Quaid is moving on with a woman who’s half his age, smokin’ hot and shares a name with the big man in the red suit. Her name is Santa Auzina, a French Canadian model, 30, . They were first spotted together in July shortly after Quaid’s present wife filed for divorce.

Ithaca, the film adaptation of William Saroyan’s classic 1943 novel The Human Comedy marks Meg Ryan’s directorial debut. Tom Hanks would make a cameo in the Word War II coming-of-age saga about life on the home front. He’s already closely involved in the project, serving as executive producer alongside his partner at Playtone, Gary Goetzman.
It stars Jack Quaid, Meg Ryan’sson, who rose to prominence after portraying dastadly Marvel in the 2012 science fiction film The Hunger Games.
The actress finally sold her Bel-Air home after four years on the market. While the final sale price of $11 million is certainly less than the staggering $19.5 million Ryan originally wanted, we imagine she’s quite relieved to have finally unloaded her Spanish-style abode.
